Registering and account issues

FAQs: Registering and account issues

Accounts on the be.Macmillan website are linked with the “My Macmillan” account system. Some information about this system can be found here.

1. I have forgotten my password.

2. I want to change my e-mail address.
You can change your e-mail address via https://my.macmillan.org.uk/Profile/MyProfile.

3. I am having trouble changing my e-mail address and can no longer access my account.
If you are having trouble changing your e-mail address (for example, as a Macmillan professional who has moved post), please e-mail be.mac@macmillan.org.uk, so that we can resolve this for you.

Please note that this may involve deleting your old account and asking you to register again, which would unfortunately cause you to lose access to your order history.

4. I want to change my billing or shipping address.
You can add a new delivery address when making a new order.

To manage any pre-existing addresses, please log into your be.Macmillan account and then click “Your account” at the top of any be.Macmillan page (or access https://be.macmillan.org.uk/be/MyDetails.aspx directly). On this page, scroll down and click “managing your addresses” under “My primary delivery address”.

Here you will be able to delete any unnecessary addresses from your account, and to nominate a default delivery address. Please note that your account must always have at least one address associated with it.

5. I’m sure I’ve created a My Macmillan account, but still can’t place any orders!
While the be.Macmillan website uses the My Macmillan account system, creating a My Macmillan account does not automatically generate a be.Macmillan account.

To complete the be.Macmillan registration process, please follow the below two steps:

1. Log into your account via https://be.macmillan.org.uk
2. If you are not automatically taken to a page asking you to enter additional information against your account, please go to https://be.macmillan.org.uk/be/createmacaccount.aspx
3. Enter the additional information requested on this page.

6. I am registering for the first time and see the error message “e-mail address not recognised”.
If you are a Macmillan professional who is unable to register onto be.Macmillan with this status, please e-mail be.mac@macmillan.org.uk to ask that we look into this for you.

If you are a Macmillan Staff member and have an active Macmillan account, it may simply be that the staff database has not yet been updated with this. In any case, please do create an account as a “Supporter”, and then e-mail be.mac@macmillan.org.uk to ask us to change this for you.

7. I keep on being asked to log in when placing an order.
Please e-mail be.mac@macmillan.org.uk so that we can look into this for you. Please note that this may involve deleting your old account and asking you to register again, which would unfortunately cause you to lose access to your order history.
