Get funds
Our fundraising events and communications should demonstrate
our sense of drive and conviction. Fundraising activities need to
feel
relevant and inviting. We speak in everyday language. We make
it fun where appropriate.
The language we use is very important. We need to say
what we
mean, rather than what we think people affected by cancer want to
hear. We should be as direct as possible without being insensitive
and aim for impact and a sense of urgency. And we need to make
it as simple as possible for people to get involved.
