How we look

Dos and don’ts – basic elements

This page shows what to do (and what not to do) with the basic elements of the Macmillan identity. It is mainly a matter of common sense.

image of logos Do reproduce our logo in any of our three greens. image of logo on it's side Do turn our logo on its side or use it as big as is practical.
image of reversed logo Do reverse our logo out of our three greens (or other dark colours where necessary) as long as the logo is clearly legible. image of pantone colour Always use the correct colour specifications.
image of logo with words removed Don’t take any of the words away from our logo. It always appears in full. image of logo with other typefaces Don’t use any typefaces other than Macmillan Headline, Futura and Arial.
image of misuse of macmillan headline Don’t use Macmillan headline typeface for detailed information. image of misuse of silhouette The outline of the original image is the only part that should be visible in a silhouette. Don’t keep any of the other detail.
image of misuse of silhouette Pick images to be made into silhouettes carefully. Do not choose an image which is too complicated or abstract for a silhouette. image of cut our image Don’t use cut-out images.
