All about our logo

Logos

Not just your average logo, we hope you’ll agree. It’s more than just our name, it’s a statement about who we are and what we stand for.

Macmillan is a ‘movement’. Anyone can join. Especially if they want to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer. So you will see our logo on communications from all sorts of organisations that support us – from supermarket bags to school signs.

When you use our logo, you show that you’re part of the movement. It doesn’t mean you’ve joined Macmillan the ‘organisation’, but you’ve become part of something special – a movement to benefit people affected by cancer. Our logo is a way of showing this.

Oh, and we like it the way it is. So please don’t chop bits off or forget to use the full stop (it’s there to add emphasis).

Now, we’ve explained it isn’t your average logo, so we’d like you to treat it a bit differently. Give it a bit of space, and prominence. Use it big and bold – don’t hide it in the corner!

Sorry to go on, but it means a lot to us.

The low-down on using our logo

Our logo in action

Use it big. As big as possible – because it’s a statement about who we are. And don’t tuck it down in the corner. It should play nicely with the rest of the elements on the page – sidling up close to a silhouette or statement written in the Macmillan Headline font.

Some people make rules about the amount of space that should be left clear around their logo. We don’t. All we ask is that you don’t overlap it with anything else on the page.

You can use it on its side (rotate it 90 degrees in either direction), but not upside down.

You can use it in any of our three greens. You can also use it in black if you're working on something black and white; or white, reversed out of one of the greens, if the design dictates this.

And did we mention that we like it BIG? But if it really has to go small (eg on a pencil) make sure it’s no smaller than 22mm wide.
